Seth was such a sweetie. He took it all in his stride and was full of giggles and smiles. As always, there were moments of unrest but with a cuddle and a kiss from a Mum and a little bit of coaxing from me we got plenty of lovely photos capturing his cheeky and inquisitive character perfectly.

Below is just a small selection of images. As with all my 40 minute plus shoots, all pictures are included in the price. I think this particular family received twenty four images, all of which they were very pleased with.

Harry & Bee

It was lovely to meet Harry and his little sister Bee at Pittville Park a few weeks ago. Their Mum had booked me for a 40 minute session and was keen to try and get some nice photographs of Bee in particular. She explained that Bee is remarkably shy and very tricky to get pictures of.

I very quickly understood what she meant. Not one to be deterred I took things at a very slow pace for her, focusing on her big brother Harry a lot for the first twenty to twenty five minutes to help show her what I was doing and feel a little better about the shoot. I suggested that perhaps the playground might help to relax her and also distract her from me. Once she was in the swing she clearly started to enjoy herself a little more and was far less aware of me. This seemed to help a great deal and soon she was feeling brave enough to hold Harry’s hand and walk over to see the ducks, something she was very keen on. The ducks also proved a big hit and I got glimpses of a very gorgeous smile! Finally, a little bit of throwing in the air by Dad and she was in fits of giggles.

Eliza & Ethan

Eliza and Ethan were really good fun to work with. They had great sense of humours and a real appetite to play. Perfect little subjects for some photos!

Their Mum had booked me for a 40 minute shoot at Pittville Park. Despite the rather chilly weather we all soon warmed up with plenty of play and a bit of chasing up and down the stepping stones!

Just love this photo shoot with beautiful Beth. Her Mum, Laura, booked me for a 40 minute session in Pittville Park. It’s a location that always works really well for families. The children can roam and play at ease which means I can snap away in a fairly unobtrusive way.

Beth was a real sweetheart and so relaxed in front of the camera. With a little bit of peep-o from behind the lens, we got a lot of laughs and giggles - even from Mum and Dad! A super fun photo shoot.

Zoe & Mia

This 40 minute park shoot took place in the gorgeous Pittville Park. Sister’s, Zoe and Mia, loved my suggestion of heading over to the wildflower meadow where we spent most of our time. I snapped away as they enjoyed playing hide and seek, cuddles on the grass and picking the odd one or two little stems to throw in the air for impromptu games of catch. Such fun.

Natalie and her family booked this 30 minute mini park shoot to celebrate her parent’s 40th wedding anniversary. The shoot actually ended up being 60 minutes as they were having so much fun and the children seemed very happy.

Pittville Park always makes for some fab photos. The colours are always so lush and there is plenty to get the kids involved.

Rory's Dad booked me at the last minute for a 60 minute park shoot. The brief was to capture some natural shots of Rory that he could print off and give as a gift to Rory's Mum for her birthday. It was a quick turn around: the photo shoot was last Sunday morning and by Sunday evening the photos were whizzing their way over to Rory's Dad. He was incredibly grateful for the fast track service and very, very pleased with the photos.

Last Saturday I met up with Antonia and Lee and their two gorgeous girls, Molly and Lucy, for one of my popular 40 minute park shoots in Pittville.

It was a nice early start at 8am so there was no one around - just perfect for nice empty backgrounds and plenty of space for the girls to run around. Play always forms the basis for most of my family photo shoots as the children always relax so much more in front of the camera when they're not so aware of me.

Jo booked me for this 30 minute mini park shoot off the back of another photo shoot I did for her in January on Crickley Hill. We met in Pittville Park with her husband, sister and their Mum. The brief was to focus on their Mum and the children with at least one picture of all the children together, individual portraits of each child, one picture of everyone together and whatever else I could get! It's amazing how much you can get done in just 30 minutes! Oliver, Arabella, Francis and Thomas had so much fun too, which is what it's all about.

This very mini 20 minute park shoot is the first I've done of its type since changing my pricing structure a month ago. I know it doesn't sound as if it gives very much time to get any decent shots, but as you can see from the pictures below, 20 minutes is still sufficient for those on a very tight budget, (just £50). And that's what I'm all about - catering for all budgets, making photography affordable and giving people lovely photos to cherish.

Yesterday I was over in Pittville Park for a 30 minute mini park shoot with Maisie and Jack. They were super fun, and as with all the little people I photograph, they had me running around after them for the duration of the photo shoot! It's always good fun though and by keeping things as natural as possible means the children can relax and enjoy themselves and are far less aware that they are having their photos taken.

I met little Jessica last week at Pittville Park for one of my popular 30 minute park shoots and what a bundle of energy she was!! She had me racing up and down the edge of the lawn and weaving in and out of the crocuses for the duration! I'm quite accustomed to this sought of play though having two little ones of my own and I must say I do rather enjoy it!

Giant January Give Away!

Every Wednesday throughout January I ran a series of free photo shoots that lots of you snapped up! I visited some beautiful locations in and around Cheltenham including Crickley Hill, Pilley Bridge Nature Reserve, the Honeybourne Line, Painswick Rococo Gardens and Pittville Park. Due to atrocious weather I was forced to reschedule the final day of photo shoots and in the end they were carried out over two days and were split between Pilley Bridge and Pittville.

I met some wonderful characters over the two days - lots of giggly children, parents, carers and some cute pooches too! We all had a super time taking in the winter sunshine and enjoying the main play area at Pittville on a very quiet day! Below are a few of my favourite pics.

Indie

What a character this little chap was! He just loved playing peep-o with me and was clearly enjoying the thrill of standing on his own two feet - quite literally, having just learned how to stand up holding on to things!

Robyn & Penny

Robyn's Mum told me that Penny the basset hound is Robyn's best friend and you could quiet clearly see how much she loves her pooch!

Edward

I had so much fun chasing this little dude around the playground. He loved whizzing down the slide and peeping at me through the window of the children's playground!

Our photo shoot at Pilley Bridge had quite a sleepy start! He looks so snuggled and cosy though, doesn't he!

Last weekend was another busy one in the run up to Christmas. On Saturday morning I met up with Hannah and Ella and their parents, Mark and Rebecca, for a family photo shoot. The girl's Nanna also joined them. Despite the biting wind and brief rain interlude it didn't dampen the girl's spirits and much fun was had by us all!

This photo shoot was so much fun! The giggles and smiles from Joseph and his little sister Eloise lit up the woods almost as much as the beautiful Autumn sunshine. The colours at this time of year are just fantastic and make for really beautiful photos. The brief was simple - to capture some family pictures to go on the wall. Leo & Charlotte

A few weeks ago I was in Pittville Park with six year old Leo, three year old Charlotte and their Nanny and Poppy. The children's grandparents were visiting the UK from France and their own daughter had bought them a gift voucher.

We had a super time splashing around in the poppies, which were simply stunning. The children in particular were delighted to wade through them!
