Rory's Dad booked me at the last minute for a 60 minute park shoot. The brief was to capture some natural shots of Rory that he could print off and give as a gift to Rory's Mum for her birthday. It was a quick turn around: the photo shoot was last Sunday morning and by Sunday evening the photos were whizzing their way over to Rory's Dad. He was incredibly grateful for the fast track service and very, very pleased with the photos.

I've done so many photo shoots in Pittville Park recently it feels like I've spent half of June there! In all seriousness though, it is such a super place for family portraits I can understand why so many of my client's request it. Eve and her family were no different.
I've worked with Eve before when she ran her own local baby business in Cheltenham, so when she got in touch with me again to ask me to do her family pictures I was really looking forward to catching up with her to see how she was doing. Turns out life has been very busy. As well as starting a new venture with her husband, they've also had twin girls. All three daughters were full of energy and the two young ones just loved running off in different directions!! Always fun!!

Last Saturday I met up with Antonia and Lee and their two gorgeous girls, Molly and Lucy, for one of my popular 40 minute park shoots in Pittville.
It was a nice early start at 8am so there was no one around - just perfect for nice empty backgrounds and plenty of space for the girls to run around. Play always forms the basis for most of my family photo shoots as the children always relax so much more in front of the camera when they're not so aware of me.

Last Sunday I was over in Pittville again for one of my popular 40 minute mini park shoots. I try to make these sessions as fun and relaxing as possible, that way the children can enjoy themselves and the results are much more natural.

We met in Pittville Park with her husband, sister and their Mum. The brief was to focus on their Mum and the children with at least one picture of all the children together, individual portraits of each child, one picture of everyone together and whatever else I could get! It's amazing how much you can get done in just 30 minutes! Oliver, Arabella, Francis and Thomas had so much fun too, which is what it's all about.

Every Wednesday throughout January I'm running a series of free photo shoots that lots of you have been snapping up! Last week I was at Crickley Hill and this week I was at Pittville Park.
It was a chilly start to the day but the cold didn't dampen our spirits. The children all very much enjoyed running round the park, clambering up the stepping stones, climbing trees and playing hiding and seek. I think the giggles could be heard for miles! I've selected a sample of my favourite shots from each photo shoot. Sadly I can't share one of them as my client requested they not be put online or on social media. I hope you like the others though!

It was super to meet 18 month old Archie - just two years ago I photographed his Mummy and Daddy's wedding! Minus the beautiful wedding dress I still recognised Claire instantly.

These two gorgeous girls were great fun! There was much climbing, chasing plus the odd cake break for the pair of them too!
Penny
Little Penny was a delight to photograph and cute as a button too! The photo shoot mainly involved following her around while she went on the hunt for puppies - she is obsessed with dogs!! Such good fun.

Sarah was my last client for the day and provided me with something a little bit different. She was after some head and portrait shots.
Last weekend was another busy one in the run up to Christmas. On Saturday morning I met up with Hannah and Ella and their parents, Mark and Rebecca, for a family photo shoot. The girl's Nanna also joined them. Despite the biting wind and brief rain interlude it didn't dampen the girl's spirits and much fun was had by us all!

This photo shoot was so much fun! The giggles and smiles from Joseph and his little sister Eloise lit up the woods almost as much as the beautiful Autumn sunshine. The colours at this time of year are just fantastic and make for really beautiful photos. The brief was simple - to capture some family pictures to go on the wall. One of my last photo shoots for 2016 was in Pittville Park with friends Eric and Charlie and Richard and Anita with their children: Phoebe, Edie, Ely and Jacob. It was an hour long combo shoot on a pretty cold morning. It didn't deter any of us though. We played football, which proved quite tricky with camera in hand, balancing on tree trunks, jumping around, chucking leaves and generally having lots of fun!
