Seth

Seth was such a sweetie. He took it all in his stride and was full of giggles and smiles. As always, there were moments of unrest but with a cuddle and a kiss from a Mum and a little bit of coaxing from me we got plenty of lovely photos capturing his cheeky and inquisitive character perfectly.

Harry & Bee

It was lovely to meet Harry and his little sister Bee at Pittville Park a few weeks ago. Their Mum had booked me for a 40 minute session and was keen to try and get some nice photographs of Bee in particular. She explained that Bee is remarkably shy and very tricky to get pictures of.

I very quickly understood what she meant. Not one to be deterred I took things at a very slow pace for her, focusing on her big brother Harry a lot for the first twenty to twenty five minutes to help show her what I was doing and feel a little better about the shoot. I suggested that perhaps the playground might help to relax her and also distract her from me. Once she was in the swing she clearly started to enjoy herself a little more and was far less aware of me. This seemed to help a great deal and soon she was feeling brave enough to hold Harry’s hand and walk over to see the ducks, something she was very keen on. The ducks also proved a big hit and I got glimpses of a very gorgeous smile! Finally, a little bit of throwing in the air by Dad and she was in fits of giggles.

Eliza & Ethan

Eliza and Ethan were really good fun to work with. They had great sense of humours and a real appetite to play. Perfect little subjects for some photos!

Their Mum had booked me for a 40 minute shoot at Pittville Park. Despite the rather chilly weather we all soon warmed up with plenty of play and a bit of chasing up and down the stepping stones!

Declan, Florence & Finley

These three little ones were wrapped up nice and warm for a chilly shoot over in Pittville Park a few weeks ago. The cold didn’t deter them though and with a bit of my usual peep-o from behind the lens we soon got a few smiles!

Beth

Just love this photo shoot with beautiful Beth. Her Mum, Laura, booked me for a 40 minute session in Pittville Park. It’s a location that always works really well for families. The children can roam and play at ease which means I can snap away in a fairly unobtrusive way.

Beth was a real sweetheart and so relaxed in front of the camera. With a little bit of peep-o from behind the lens, we got a lot of laughs and giggles - even from Mum and Dad! A super fun photo shoot.

Zoe & Mia

This 40 minute park shoot took place in the gorgeous Pittville Park. Sister’s, Zoe and Mia, loved my suggestion of heading over to the wildflower meadow where we spent most of our time. I snapped away as they enjoyed playing hide and seek, cuddles on the grass and picking the odd one or two little stems to throw in the air for impromptu games of catch. Such fun.

Molly & Lucy

Last Saturday I met up with Antonia and Lee and their two gorgeous girls, Molly and Lucy, for one of my popular 40 minute park shoots in Pittville.

It was a nice early start at 8am so there was no one around - just perfect for nice empty backgrounds and plenty of space for the girls to run around. Play always forms the basis for most of my family photo shoots as the children always relax so much more in front of the camera when they're not so aware of me.

The Doheny Family

This very mini 20 minute park shoot is the first I've done of its type since changing my pricing structure a month ago. I know it doesn't sound as if it gives very much time to get any decent shots, but as you can see from the pictures below, 20 minutes is still sufficient for those on a very tight budget, (just £50). And that's what I'm all about - catering for all budgets, making photography affordable and giving people lovely photos to cherish.

Maisie & Jack

Yesterday I was over in Pittville Park for a 30 minute mini park shoot with Maisie and Jack. They were super fun, and as with all the little people I photograph, they had me running around after them for the duration of the photo shoot! It's always good fun though and by keeping things as natural as possible means the children can relax and enjoy themselves and are far less aware that they are having their photos taken.

Jessica

I met little Jessica last week at Pittville Park for one of my popular 30 minute park shoots and what a bundle of energy she was!! She had me racing up and down the edge of the lawn and weaving in and out of the crocuses for the duration! I'm quite accustomed to this sought of play though having two little ones of my own and I must say I do rather enjoy it!

Giant January Give Away!

Every Wednesday throughout January I'm running a series of free photo shoots that lots of you have been snapping up! Last week I was at Crickley Hill and this week I was at Pittville Park. 

It was a chilly start to the day but the cold didn't dampen our spirits. The children all very much enjoyed running round the park, clambering up the stepping stones, climbing trees and playing hiding and seek. I think the giggles could be heard for miles! I've selected a sample of my favourite shots from each photo shoot. Sadly I can't share one of them as my client requested they not be put online or on social media. I hope you like the others though!

Archie

It was super to meet 18 month old Archie - just two years ago I photographed his Mummy and Daddy's wedding! Minus the beautiful wedding dress I still recognised Claire instantly.

Emma & Sophie

These two gorgeous girls were great fun! There was much climbing, chasing plus the odd cake break for the pair of them too!

Penny

Little Penny was a delight to photograph and cute as a button too! The photo shoot mainly involved following her around while she went on the hunt for puppies - she is obsessed with dogs!! Such good fun.

Sarah

Sarah was my last client for the day and provided me with something a little bit different. She was after some head and portrait shots.

Ella & Hannah

Last weekend was another busy one in the run up to Christmas. On Saturday morning I met up with Hannah and Ella and their parents, Mark and Rebecca, for a family photo shoot. The girl's Nanna also joined them. Despite the biting wind and brief rain interlude it didn't dampen the girl's spirits and much fun was had by us all!

Family Fun

Oliver

I first met Oliver two years so when he came for a cake smash at my Cheltenham photography studio. It was great to catch up with him again and see how much he had changed! He was a real cheeky chap during the photo shoot and certainly kept Mum and Dad on their toes!

Leo & Charlotte

A few weeks ago I was in Pittville Park with six year old Leo, three year old Charlotte and their Nanny and Poppy. The children's grandparents were visiting the UK from France and their own daughter had bought them a gift voucher.

We had a super time splashing around in the poppies, which were simply stunning. The children in particular were delighted to wade through them! A Combo Park Shoot

One of my last photo shoots for 2016 was in Pittville Park with friends Eric and Charlie and Richard and Anita with their children: Phoebe, Edie, Ely and Jacob. It was an hour long combo shoot on a pretty cold morning. It didn't deter any of us though. We played football, which proved quite tricky with camera in hand, balancing on tree trunks, jumping around, chucking leaves and generally having lots of fun!

Callum & Theodore

Last week I met Jessica and David and their two young sons, Callum and Theodore, at Pittville for one of my popular 30 minute park photo shoots.

The kids were in good spirits, Callum in particular was keen to show me his moves on the wooden adventure trail and Theodore, try as he might, just couldn't keep up! The brief was a mixture of informal family portraits and shots of the kids. As always the emphasis was on having fun and helping the kids to feel at ease and relaxed. I achieved this and they were thrilled with the photos.
