Peter popped into my photography studio recently for some head and profile shots for his online profile. As with all my shoots, I try to make them as informal and as relaxed as possible, and this is even more important with one on one studio work, where client’s can become very self conscious. Karina was in my studio recently for some head and profile photos. She only wanted one or two to use for her LinkedIn account and so a quick 20 minute session was more than enough. As with most of these types of shoots, I showed her the images on the back of the camera’s view finder to make sure she was happy with them.

John is a writer and came into my studio recently for some head and profile shots. It has been very busy in the studio since coming out of lockdown, with more and more people working from home and needing professional photos for their online profiles and online meeting platforms such as Zoom.

Since the end of lockdown I’ve been inundated with enquiries for head and profile shots. What with everyone working from home more, seems the demand for good quality head shots is very high. I normally recommend 20-30 minutes for a session like this in the studio and try to make it as relaxed and informal as possible.

I met Phil in Hatherley Park, Cheltenham, for a 30 minute session. Phil needed some informal head and profile shots to help boost his online profile for his new business venture. The session was good fun and Phil slowly eased into the idea of having his photos taken. I suggested some areas that might make nice places for a photo, such as rugged tree trunks, park benches and beautiful old trees.

I was booked for an hour and a half for some head shots and informal group shots of employees from local business, CMC, who were at a company event at the Cotswold Water Park. We took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and setting and used the balcony for the head shots. It’s not something that most people ever enjoy, so I always try my best to chat a little to help put client’s at ease.

Caroline recently approached me about taking some head shots for her website. We met at a hair salon in Cheltenham and spent the twenty minute shoot utilising various different locations.
