It was great to be back out and working again after yet another lockdown, and great to see the guys and girls at Arnica Dental Care, recently voted the UK’s best dental practice for minimising stress and anxiety among patients. Click here to view some of the photos of that promo award shoot.

With everything having moved online, the demand for head shots soared towards the end of last year. Sadly, with another lockdown at the start of 2021, work slowed down yet again. However, since March jobs have slowly begun to trickle in.

I did this head shot for Chris, who was self-isolating at home and needed a passport photo for business purposes. Following the current government guidelines at the time, I completed the shoot with the minimum of fuss. Chris only needed one shot. It was probably one of the quickest jobs I’ve ever done! Nice morning though and just lovely to be able to get out and about!

People typically book either 20 or 30 minute slots, which cost £50 or £75 respectively and include 5 or 10 digital files. No copyright restrictions. I photograph in RAW format but you will receive the final images as high resolution jpegs. All will have gone through a rigorous editing process and have received professional post production work. Images are usually sent via WeTransfer, Dropbox or by disc.

Karina was in my studio recently for some head and profile photos. She only wanted one or two to use for her LinkedIn account and so a quick 20 minute session was more than enough. As with most of these types of shoots, I showed her the images on the back of the camera’s view finder to make sure she was happy with them.

John is a writer and came into my studio recently for some head and profile shots. It has been very busy in the studio since coming out of lockdown, with more and more people working from home and needing professional photos for their online profiles and online meeting platforms such as Zoom.

I met Phil in Hatherley Park, Cheltenham, for a 30 minute session. Phil needed some informal head and profile shots to help boost his online profile for his new business venture. The session was good fun and Phil slowly eased into the idea of having his photos taken. I suggested some areas that might make nice places for a photo, such as rugged tree trunks, park benches and beautiful old trees.

After spending months in lock down, it has been great to get back outside working again. Philip required some up to date head shots for his LinkedIn, Zoom and social media profiles and so booked me for a 30 minute photography session. I suggested we meet at Crickley Hill. I find it works very well for a more informal style of head and profile shots. Here are some of the highlights.

Emma contacted me recently as she needed some up to date headshots for her LinkedIn profile. I met her at Crickley Hill, which always makes a great location for this type of work, and we took a walk through the woods. It was a blustery day, so the trees offered good shelter, therefore avoiding any blow away hair. As with all my photo shoots, it was very relaxed and informal. I always try to put my client’s at ease.

Spirax Sarco CEO Magazine

I was recently booked to take some head and profile shots of Nick Anderson, CEO of Spirax Sarco for CEO Magazine. It was a 60 minute shoot with a 30 minute recky before hand with Nick’s PA to scope out the best angles and positions. After mocking up a meeting in Nick’s board room, we moved onto some informal shots at his desk before heading outside for a shot in the grounds.
