It was great to catch up with Elin and Tom again. I last saw them in 2017 after the birth of their first son, Oshan. To view the pictures from that shoot click here. I know Tom and Elin from when I photographed their wedding in 2013. It’s lovely that they’ve kept in touch and choose to use me to photograph their special occasions.

Ion’s newborn shoot was a super fun filled family affair. His big brother was so enthusiastic and keen to be involved in lots of the shots! The warmth and character of this family really translates across the images.

Vicky & Bump!

Vicky booked one of my popular bump to birth packages and we did the bump bit on Crickley Hill, which, with its stunning views and glorious empty spaces, always makes a super backdrop. We were very fortunate with the weather, one of those beautiful Spring days with just a light breeze. The shoot was 30 minutes long and during that time I captured a lovely collection of images for them. As with all my shoots, they received ALL the high resolution digital files within about a week.

Saeko & Bump!

Saeko and her partner booked me for a 60 minute photo shoot to celebrate her growing bump, which was soon to be a baby in just a few months! They live round the corner from Pittville Park so it made an ideal backdrop. The shoot itself was very relaxed. We started at the Boat House and walked up to the waterfall, pausing to take photos at points I thought might be suitable. As with all my photo shoots, the couple received all the digital files within about a week.

Harris

Baby Harris was a real cutie. He was awake for the majority of the relaxed and informal 60 minute photo shoot. A very easy going little chap who seemed intent on staring down the lens! Mum was keen to stay out of the photos, but would jump in occasionally for a feeding break as and when it was needed. I always allow extra time at the beginning and end of my newborn shoots in order to set up and pack away, meaning clients get a full 60 minutes of photos.

Heidi & Alex

Twins, Heidi and Alex, were some of the quietest and calmest babies I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Little Alex slept for the duration of the 60 minute shoot, while Heidi always had one eye on the camera! As usual, the shoot was taken at a very gentle pace with plenty of time for feeding breaks and cuddles. Both parents opted out of being in the photos, but as with many newborn pictures, they were keen for lots of black and white ones!

Florence & Theo

This 60 minute newborn shoot took place in my clien't’s home and as usual, the whole family were invited to join in, including their beloved pooch! Little Theo was rather unsettled for much of the session, requiring frequent feeding breaks. However, with much patience, one can still achieve the shots. With gentle soothing from Mum and Dad, he nodded off with about 20 minutes to go, which is when we captured these shots below of him with his family.

It was lovely to meet baby Noel and his parents last week for their 60 minute newborn photo shoot. He was very chilled, and didn’t at all mind being gently moved into various different posing positions. As with all my newborn shoots, I like to incorporate client’s own personal belongings to make the photos unique to them. Blankets and baby toys all add to the individual feel. We stopped for occasional feeds and soothing, but there was still plenty of time to capture some natural shots, as I leave space at the beginning and end of the session to set up and pack away, meaning clients get a full 60 minutes of photos.

Well, what can I say about little Imogen? Such a star! Quite possibly one of the cutest little bundles I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. After a long, long feed at the start of the shoot it seemed to do just the trick as she casually laid on the bed while Mum and I gently moved her into various different positions. She was happiest on her tummy sucking on her arm, and hey, it makes for some super sweet pics!

I love this collection of black and whites from a new born shoot I did a few weeks ago. The exception is the lovely colour one of Freddie and the family dog, which makes me chuckle! I actually did a photography workshop with Freddie’s Mum while she was pregnant. She booked in on one of my courses as she has a DSLR but no idea how to use it properly. I did three sessions with her which focused on camera basics, technique and post production. She booked me for her son’s newborn shoot to not only capture some lovely photos of him but to show her it’s done so she can continue to capture every moment of Freddie growing up.

Little Izzy was just adorable. Her parents wanted natural images of her much like other images they had seen on my website. We took the shoot at a very gentle pace, stopping for feeds and cuddles. Although I allow an hour for my newborn shoots, clients always receive a bit extra meaning they get a full 60 minute of photos.

My little newborn shoots are enjoyable, relaxed and informal. The whole family is welcome to join in and that extends to pets too! They last for 60 minutes with plenty of time to set up and pack away, meaning clients can enjoy a full 60 minute of photos. We often break for feeds, cuddles and soothing. The pace is gentle.

I was delighted to meet Little Mia a few weeks ago. She was a very cool customer and didn’t even object to a little cuddly bear being placed softly on her back to hide her modesty. I like to incorporate my client’s own belongings such as special blankets, toys etc. It makes the photos more personal.

Little Elliot was fantastic with a capital F! A very smiley, happy and adorably chunky bubbly boy! I arrived in plenty of time to set up, as I always do for a newborn shoot, and had a quick scout around the house before opting for the family bedroom upstairs. There was a nice amount of light coming in from a side window and a lovely large, super soft bed. It was also the warmest room in the house, perfect if little one was going to be in the nude.

Below is just a small selection of photos. As with all my newborn shoots, all pictures are included in the price. This photoshoot with baby Anya took place took place in Hampnett, just outside Cheltenham. As with all my newborn shoots, it was very relaxed and inclusive of the whole family. Big sister Lianna was keen to be involved in lots of the photos, which was lovely. There were pauses in between shots for feeds and cuddles and plenty of time at the beginning and end to set up and pack away. Leaving this extra time is something I always do and means families get a full 60 minutes of photos.

Blanca

This is the second time I have photographed Maria and her family but the first time I've met baby Blanca. Her older brother, Pablo, was still as cheeky as ever and like most three year olds, wasn't one to keep still! Nonetheless we still got the picture of the pair of them together that Maria was so keen to capture as well as lots of other lovely individual photos. To make best use of my time, during feeding breaks I would take photos of Pablo which meant Maria got maximum photo time and excellent value for money.

Freya

Freya was gorgeous but quite unsettled and needed much soothing from Mum and Dad. This is never a problem as far as I'm concerned as I always allow plenty of time for my newborn photo shoots. If they overrun due to baby needing to feed or soothed then I give the family their space to be able to this. I never rush or hurry and always work with the family in a gentle and informal way.

Gorgeous Ezra is about three weeks old in these photos and I must say he was a very amenable, easy going little fella. Apart from stopping for two or three feeding breaks he was more than happy to be photographed and encouraged into various different positions. His parents had were keen on black and white photos and so during post production I changed the colour balance of all the best ones.

As with all my newborn photo shoots, they are 60 minutes long and include all of the high resolution digital files. I arrive a little early and leave a little late to give me time to set up and pack up meaning you get a full hour of photos.

Little Aaryan is only a week old in these photos but he was full of personality! His parents had the room nice and warm so he was more than happy to be stripped down. We spent the hour gently posing him in different positions, stopping for feeds and cuddles and generally taking it nice and slowly. His parents were very grateful for my calm and relaxed approach.

This little bundle of joy was a delight to photograph. She snoozed in between periods of wakefulness and had the odd top up of milk in between shots too. As with all of my newborn photo shoots, the 60 minutes was very relaxed and easy going.
