Cynthia's Cake Smash

Little Cynthia had great fun during her cake smash session to celebrate her first birthday! With encouragement from Mum and Dad there were plenty of smiles and giggles as she used a combination of a spoon and her fingers to pile the cake into her mouth! The session lasted for 40 minutes and was carried out in my usual informal, fun, friendly way.

Layla's Cake Smash

The adorable Layla popped into my photography studio earlier this month for one of my fun filled cake smashes! 

As with many of my cake smashes, we began with a few clean shots before moving onto the messy part! Layla wolfed down the cake as if her life depended on it and within about twenty minutes she was looking for something else to do! After a quick clean up we got out a few toys for her to play with and this seemed to settle her back down.

Khaleesi's Cake Smash

Last week I met Khaleesi for her 1st birthday cake smash! She had such a super fun time exploring all the props I had provided and the big colourful balloon too! Fair to say her favourite part of the shoot though was the cake, which got devoured rather quickly!!

Amara's Cake Smash

Little Amara is a girl after my own heart when it comes to cake! Fair to say she loved the colourful icing and made light work of the delicious looking sponge! It was giggles and laughs all the way as she gobbled down the cake!

Xavier's Cake Smash

It was lovely to meet Xavier and his Mum when they popped into my Cheltenham photography studio a few weeks ago for his first ever cake smash! 

He was dressed to impress in his polka dot outfit complete with matching hat, pants and braces! The cake that his Mum had made was pretty awesome too! He had a great time throughout the fun 40 minutes and enjoyed every bit of it!

Nellie's Cake Smash

Last Saturday I welcomed gorgeous Nellie into my Cheltenham photography studio for her very first cake smash photo shoot! She was full of beans and loved every mouthful of her scrummy pink cake!

As with all of my cake smash photo shoots, included is a lovely big bubble balloon, which little ones can take home with them, (if it's still in tact!) colourful oversized bunting, lots of quirky props and of course all of the high resolution digital files, beautifully edited and professionally touched up.

Belle's Cake Smash

On Saturday I welcomed gorgeous Belle into my photography studio, (and big brother, who was keen to get in on the cake action too!) Mum had brought along three different outfits for her and we easily filled the 45 minutes with lots of props, laughs and a few tears!

Livy's Cake Smash

Gorgeous Livy came into The Mousehole, my photography studio, last weekend for one of my fun and fabulous cake smashes! 

We started off the session with some clean, simple shots of Livy with her cake before moving onto a few portraits of her with her balloon. Next came the cake smash itself, which she wasn't that keen on!! After 15 minutes of careful prodding and sampling the icing she decided she'd had enough of cake! So we did a quick clean up and let her loose on some toys, whilst still keeping in the theme of birthday celebrations by photographing her in front of the bunting. Safe to say my vintage teddies were a real hit!

Jasmine's Cake Smash

Last Sunday I welcomed Jasmine and her family to my photography studio. I know Jasmine's Mum, Nicky, well having done a few photo shoots for her fitness business. For more on those go to my commercial pages. 

Today though was all about celebrating little Jasmine's 1st birthday and what a blast she had! There was no holding her back from the cake as she plunged her fists straight into it! None stop action from start to finish, there was hardly any cake left by the end!

Holly's Cake Smash

I welcomed Holly into my photography studio recently for her first ever cake smash! She had lots of fun and although was a bit nervous to begin with and unsure what to make of the cake, she eventually worked up the courage to poke a finger into the wonderful deep pink icing! 

She also loved the balloon that I supply as part of the package. It's always big, bright and colourful and little ones absolutely adore tugging on the string and seeing it bounce up and down!

Oliver's Cake Smash

Little Oliver was brilliant fun and like most of the gorgeous children that I photograph, he was far more interested in the balloons than the cake! The highlight was when his Mummy pulled out a rather large and oversized dino outfit, which he looked fab in and like many of the cake smash shoots I do, there was even time at the end for a bit of a play with some of The Mousehole's cool, vintage props!


Aziz's Cake Smash

Less cake smash and more play with this photo shoot! An ever so lovely couple, who brought my own children gifts each and gave me the cake as a further thank you, (it was delicious!)

Harley's Cake Smash

It was brilliant welcoming Harley and his Mum and Dad into The Mousehole this morning. I don't often get to do a cake smash actually on a little one's birthday, but Harvey turned 1 today and it was really special to be able to share a part of his 1st birthday with him.

He loved it too! We started things off quite slowly so as to help Harvey warm up and become familiar with the studio environment but very soon we were pulling out heaps of different studio props for him to play and interact with!



Paige's Cake Smash

The adorable Paige popped into my Cheltenham photography studio a few days ago for one of my fun filled cake smashes! 

We incorporated two different themes into the shoot, which fitted with the outfit changes that her Mum had brought along. The first part of the session was girly pink, (which fitted well with Paige's fantastic pastel pink tu tu!) and the second half of the shoot was a mix of more vibrant colours to match her colourful pants! Paige wasn't particularly interested in eating the cake, preferring instead to try and eat the balloons and over sized spoon!

Reuben's Cake Smash

A few weeks ago I welcomed 1 year old Reuben into my photography studio for a cake smash photo shoot. He was joined by his best bud - Walter the dog! This was my first ever cake smash with a child, a dog and a cake!! It was entertaining to say the least; Walter was far more interested in the cake than Reuben, who was far more interested in playing with all my quirky, vintage props! 

Charlie's Cake Smash

On Saturday I welcomed Elodie and her baby sister Charlotte, affectionately called Charlie, into my studio along with Mum and Dad. I think this is about the fourth photo shoot I've done for Alex and Greg Parker. They're moving to France in September and the shoot coincided well with Charlie's 1st birthday, their wedding anniversary and a bit of a bon voyage!

We started the extended cake smash session off, (so an hour rather than 45 minutes) with some family portraits. The one we all love best is probably where Elodie has her back to the camera when she refused to turn around, one of those moments that you probably had to be there for! Alex and Greg wanted me to take the shot anyway and it highlights how a photo should capture the moment! We moved on to some candid shots of the girls before the cake smash commenced. It was lovely to see Charlie enjoy her cake so much! We did a quick tidy up with 15 minutes left and rounded things off with some more shots of the two girls.

 

Jack's Cake Smash

Jack and his Mummy popped into The Mousehole last Thursday for a cake smash photo shoot. My cake smash sessions last for 60 minutes and include a wide range of retro props, as seen in these photos. I also provide all the balloons too! As normally happens in most of my cake smash sessions, there was time at the end for a 20 minute play with more of my vintage props, giving Jack's Mummy a great mix of shots.

Llewena's Cake Smash

A few weeks ago I welcome little Llewena and her big brother Albi into my photography studio for one of my fun filled, fantastic cake smashes! 

We started with a few shots of Llewena before inviting Albi to help her 'smash' the cake! They both had a lovely time feeding each other cake, licking it off their feet and playing with the giant balloon, which comes included in the price of the photo shoot, (you also get to take it home, so no tears when playtime is over!)
