Shelving

I was asked to photograph a shelving unit at a property in Cheltenham by the carpenter who made it. The brief was to get a series of different shots of the units with both the shelf lights on, and with the shelf lights off. Images of the entire unit were required, along with photos of each individual unit. I was at the property for about 30 minutes capturing the photographs below.

Shepherd's Hut

Michael and Juliet contacted me recently because they needed their shepherd’s hut photographed. The images are to be used on their new website. Only just recently purchased, the double shepherd’s hut offers comfortable living accommodation for two people. Complete with outdoor steam bath and gorgeous roll top brass bath tub, it will surely be a hit with holiday makers visiting the Cotswolds for a short break.

We were fortunate that the rain held off just long enough to get the shots. Overcast skies are great for photos, but rain, not so much. I was there for an hour and a half. Below is just a small selection of pictures the couple received.

Winchcombe Retreat

I was asked to pop along to this quaint little property in Winchcombe to capture some interior shots for a new Air B and B profile. This two bed cottage had some lovely period features and a nice sized garden with an apple tree in it. A combination of whole room shots with close up detail images helps to create an overall impression of what the cottage is like.

Copsegrove March 2022

Last month I was over at Copesgrove again to photograph some of the finished interiors. This is a project I have been commissioned to photograph from start to finished, and it has been great to see the transformation. The pool house and spa is particularly awesome, having once been just an old pig shed!

Copsegrove May 2021

It has been a whole year since I first started documenting this high spec house and barn conversion at Copsegrove Farm. The progress and changes have been fantastic to see. Click on the links below to view previous visits to the farm.

On this visit I was hoping to get some shots of finished rooms, but there was still a fair amount of stuff to unpack. The rooms are really starting to take shape though and the soft furnishings and decor are going to rock a great style! I look forward to returning when the project is finished. Below are a selection of shots from the 90 minute shoot.

Copsegrove April 2021

Work on site is really beginning to take shape now. It has been almost a year since my first visit to the Copsegrove development and it’s going to be fascinating to review all the photos at the end of the project.

Today the focus was on trying to get some shots of the finished rooms. Not all that easy when many parts of the house still resemble a building site. However, using a few clever angles and some neat cropping, one starts to get a sense of the vibrancy of the space and materials.

Copsegrove February 2021

I was at Copsegrove just last month, but as always, much progress had been made in four weeks! The pool house was nearing completion, the kitchen was looking much more finished and more rooms were skimmed with more tiles going on the walls. It’s going to look fantastic when it’s finished!

If you’ve been reading my blogs on the Copsegrove development then you’ll know that I’ve been documenting the build right from the start. Use the links below to view the images from my previous visits.

On this visit, as well as progress shots of the interior, there was also the opportunity to photograph some of the workmen and the gardens too. So lovely to see the first signs of Spring appearing in the form of snowdrops. I also spotted some more sculptures dotted around the place - climbing ladders, enjoying a go on the swing and lazing in the bath tub, (with face mask of course!!)

Copsegrove January 2021

Work at Copsegrove Farm has continued with earnest, despite current lockdown restrictions. Thankfully for Kate and Martin, the owners, building work is allowed to continue under current government guidelines and with bookings already coming in, they are keen to see work progress!

With each visit, I’m always so impressed with how much progress has been made on site. On this occasion the pool house was a hive of activity, with work on the interior rooms of the main house also continuing at pace. Tiles were going on the bathroom walls which helped give a feel for what the space will be like once work is complete.

Copsegrove November 2020

It was great to be back at Copsegrove Farm last week to see how the project was coming along. Much progress had been made since my last visit in September, and those Autumn colours - just beautiful! I was disappointed not to get any photos of the cows, (if you read my previous blogs about Copsegrove you’ll understand how much I love them) but plenty of jolly builders instead! Lots of creative use with a small aperture too, a setting I don’t use all that much, but it’s the ideal setting for capturing the sun as a ‘starlight burst’.
