Oliver & Matilda

A few weeks ago I spent a very long, cold day in Pittville Park with nearly a dozen families on back to back shoots. It was great fun, but I could barely feel my fingers by the end of it!

Danielle was given her photo shoot as a gift voucher by her sister. Vouchers make great gifts and this one had been purchased last year. We met by the boat house and spent an enjoyable 40 minutes, climbing the stepping stones, balancing on bridges and swinging from rope ladders. I was given the run around by Oliver and Matilda, two little ones with bags of energy and enthusiasm!

The Bates Family

Jane recently booked me for a 20 minute family photo shoot in Pittville Park with herself, her husband and their small army of children! It was great fun and although it was one of my shorter shoots, we still got plenty of lovely photos.

Anne, Chris & Sam

Anne and Chris booked me for a twenty minute mini park shoot in Pittville. Their son, Sam, was off to university and they wanted some up to date family photos to mark the occassion. Not having had any professional photos taken of themselves since their wedding, they were a little uncomfortable at the thought of this photo shoot! I have a very easy going nature though, which helps when people are feeling a little uptight. Soon enough they were laughing and relaxing into things. They found the shoot very enjoyable.

Charlotte

I met Charlotte and her parents at the Boat House in Pittville Park last week. I always tend to suggest meeting on that side of the park, rather than at the Pump Rooms, as it’s much quieter and therefore better for those simple, natural shots with clear backgrounds free from people walking their dogs or runners!

Charlotte was super sweet to photograph, and spent the majority of the 30 minute shoot playing among the tall grasses and climbing up the stepping stones. We took things at a gentle pace and, as with all my photo shoots, I encouraged play and fun throughout.

Extra Special

This photo shoot provided me with a different challenge. The family are currently living apart - Dad and husband is based in the UK and his wife and children live in India. They were visiting for a few months and were due to return home the day after their photo shoot with me. The family wanted a special set of photographs they could keep and remember each other by while they live apart. It made it even more important to get some extra special snaps for them.

Adalin

Pittville Park is always very popular for on location family photo shoots. It has lots of space, beautiful backdrops and plenty of scope for some natural, candid shots.

I met Hannah and her husband at the Pump Rooms and from there we took a gentle stroll. Little Adalin just loved stamping her feet and so we all went along with that idea, which worked really well and plenty of smiles were to be had!

The Babbage Family

It feels like I’ve spent the last month constantly in Pittville Park so busy has it been with family photo shoots! It’s a great spot though - it never gets old. This particular family were after some up to date family photos and booked me for an hour to capture a mixture of formal group shots and natural, candid pictures. Here are some of the highlights.

The Martin Family

Pittville Park is an extremely popular location for many of my family photo shoots. Where possible, I keep to the quieter side where there is more space and less people. The gorgeous trees make for a beautiful, natural backdrop. This particular family were celebrating a special wedding anniversary and had travelled up from various parts of the country especially for the shoot. The children had much fun as I captured some candid shots, which we interspersed with formal family pictures.

The Hancocks

This photo shoot was performed back in the Autumn but I’ve only just been able to share it as the family were using the photos as a gift. Pittville Park is stunning in all seasons, but the Autumn colours are always spectacular. Much leaf throwing, climbing and cuddles were had during the 30 minute shoot. Here are some of the highlights.

The Davis Family

Emma contacted recently me to book a 60 minute session with her family in Pittville Park. It was a beautiful sunny morning and everyone had a lovely time as I guided then to different locations. The children in particular enjoyed climbing trees and hanging off the adventure play equipment. I like to keep my photos shoots informal and relaxed as I find it better captures people’s characters. Below are some highlights.
